Elijah Jose B. Tayag, a Grade 2 learner from Isidore de Seville Integrated School, brought home a Gold Award in the Hong Kong International Science Olympiad (HKISO) 2026-2027 HEAT Round, proudly representing the Philippines.

The examination was held on October 25, 2026, and the results were released on October 31, 2026. Elijah’s achievement reflects his dedication, knowledge, and willingness to take on academic challenges at an early age.

HKISO is an international academic competition that encourages learners to develop their interest and abilities in science. It provides young learners with opportunities to demonstrate their understanding of scientific concepts, apply logical and analytical thinking, and solve science-related problems while competing with learners from different schools and countries.

The HEAT Round serves as a qualifying stage of the competition, where participants are assessed through an examination covering different areas of science, including Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Integrated Science.

Earning a Gold Award is a significant accomplishment, as it recognizes learners who achieve outstanding results in the competition.

Behind this accomplishment are his parents, Daddy Michael Anthony M. Tayag and Mommy Karen Vanessa B. Tayag, who continuously support him and are always eager to provide opportunities for learning and growth through different academic competitions. Their encouragement allows Elijah to explore his potential, gain new experiences, develop confidence, and challenge himself beyond the classroom.

His journey does not end with this recognition. Having earned the Gold Award, Elijah is set to compete in the HKISO Final Round next year.

For Isidore, achievements like this are worth celebrating. We are proud to see our learners making the most of every opportunity and bringing honor to the school and the nation through their hard work, determination, and passion for learning.

Congratulations, Elijah Jose B. Tayag! Isidore is truly proud of you!
