The Isidore Computer Laboratory turned into a lively word arena on January 16, 2026, as select learners from Grades 5 to 6 competed in the Mind Sports Day Online Scrabble Competition.
Leading the scoreboard was Elisha Astrid R. Chua of Grade 6-Pascal, who powered her way to 1st place by forming an impressive 38 words. Close behind was Lexi Mionette Salonga, also from 6-Pascal, scoring 35 words to grab 2nd place. Rounding out the podium was Dreizen Nash B. Lumain of Grade 5-Minsky, who showed strong word skills to claim 3rd place with 25 words.Other word warriors also gave strong performances.
Sabrina Angela L. Gonzales from 6-Babbage finished with 23 words, while Jan Gabriel M. De Leon from 6-Pascal added excitement with 21 words of his own.
The match was facilitated by Teacher Bren S. Francisco, Intermediate English Teacher, assisted by Teacher Anri Jane C. Crisostomo, Head Teacher, and Teacher Erika Reyes, Lead Teacher of the Primary Level.
Under the leadership of Principal Teacher Arcelita J. Gaspar, and with the strong support of the School Administrator, Teacher Ann Marie S. Bartolome, Isidore continues to find meaningful ways to unleash the talents and potential of Isidoreans through academic and mind sports activities.
With quick thinking, sharp spelling, and lots of determination, the young word athletes proved that sports aren’t just played on courts and fields, sometimes, the biggest wins come from the power of the mind.
