Continuous Empowerment of Isidore Educators: Preparing for Success in School Year 2024-2025

Isidore de Seville Integrated School believes that all children should have access to quality education, which is exactly what it gives to its learners, our dear Isidoreans. Isidore teaching partners are participating in continuous in-house training seminars that began on June 24, 2024, as part of the school’s continued efforts to make teaching and learning enriching, engaging, and fun.

Every year, Isidore In-house Training Program is designed to equip all faculty members for the challenges and opportunities of the 2024-2025 school year. This training is not just about brushing up on existing skills but also about diving into new initiatives, enhancing administrative capabilities, and ensuring every aspect of their professional responsibilities is finely tuned. The Robotics Program Sessions allowed teachers to engage in hands-on workshops, learning the intricacies of robotics kits, programming languages, and how to integrate these technologies into various subjects. In addition to Robotics, a review on administrative duties and functions was held. Beyond the classroom, educators delve into the administrative aspects of their roles. They review and refine their understanding of school policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Dr. Arcelita J. Gaspar, Teacher Archie, holds sessions on effective communication, conflict resolution, and leadership, among others, to prepare everyone to handle diverse situations that may arise during the school year. Along with the Head Teacher, Ms. Neneth Manga and the Faculty Heads, reminders of tasks ensure that everyone understands their specific job descriptions and responsibilities. Whether it’s teaching duties, committee memberships, or extracurricular supervisions, each teacher leaves with a clear understanding of what is expected of them and how they contribute to the school community.

The preparation and care of school documents, where meticulous preparation and management of school documents such as lesson plans, grades, and attendance records are crucial for smooth operations. Teachers undergo training on digital platforms for documenting learner progress, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to data protection regulations.

A first-aid training is included since safety is paramount, and teachers undergo refresher courses in first-aid and emergency response protocols. In addition, examination construction, and other essential skills are continuously being covered.

Above all, the training fosters a spirit of collaboration and reflection among educators. Opportunities for peer learning, sharing best practices, and brainstorming innovative teaching methods strengthen the professional community. Teachers leave inspired and equipped to create meaningful educational experiences for their students in the upcoming school year. Teachers are diligently preparing for the new MATATAG curriculum, eagerly anticipating further details and information to fully integrate its principles into their teaching practices for the upcoming school year.

In conclusion, the in-house training for the 2024-2025 school year is a comprehensive preparation journey for Isidore teachers, ensuring a solid foundation for a successful and impactful school year ahead for all Isidoreans.
